It seems as if so many of us are on an ongoing program for weight loss. Of course, that’s only part of it, because weight loss and fat loss go hand in hand. Most of us really want to lose fat, and in doing so, will lose weight automatically right along with that. And of course, being such a large number of people with a want and need, it attracts both commercial producers of weight loss help products and programs as well as one of the largest percentage of people searching for any subject on the internet such as “fat loss tips”, “weight loss help”.

The secret of losing weight is really not a secret at all. It’s simple mathematics. Food in (usually as measured as calories) equals food/calories burned PLUS calories stored (fat) less calories excreted.   In other words, when you take food in, you either use and burn it, you excrete it, or you store it.   If you are taking more in than you burn (exercise?) or excrete,  you are simply going to store it.

And if you take fewer calories in than you need in the “burning” process, your body is going to turn to stored resources (fat generally) and draw from that source.

Anything else you get in a “fast weight loss program”  or “Dr Smith’s magic diet pill” works on one of these basic parts of the equation.

This of course means that essentially you have a normal metabolism and are not suffering from a metabolic disorder which skews the equation.

To make this equation work, you need first the knowledge of what calories you are taking in. Before that, you need the motivation to learn about those values.

You need to know your BMR or basic metabolic rate. While you can get a close approximation of this value on your own, it never hurts to have a medical professional trained in this area to do a workup.

Then once you have the knowledge, you need to apply it, and this is where subliminal weight loss help is required and comes in. You see, we have all kinds of stimuli that induce us to either take more calories in than we need or will burn, or to not do the things that effect our caloric use rate. In short, getting up and moving. And it’s not getting up to play Wii!

The fact is most of us are creatures of some kind of habits, and also influenced by our environment, friends, etc and those are very powerful influences. We must take control of our own bodies and our own “equation” and this is where subliminal weight loss help comes in.

To go back to basics, we must begin to understand that our MIND controls about everything we do and think, and there’s two basic parts to our mind: The active, awareness part where we are consciously aware of the decisions we are making, and then the subconscious mind.

Weight loss programs that are either commercially available come in three basic genres: (1) Those designed to make caloric intake simple as food is pre counted, pre measured, and balanced in terms of nutritional value. You see, when we reduce caloric intake, we must at the same time be certain to maintain the intake of certain basic foods.  (2) Foods, pills, supplements, etc. designed to stimulate or accelerate the caloric burning process, or (3) Courses, books, help, and other commercial programs that combine these two: Education and controlled food supply. A program like Weight Watchers is such an example and is generally good.

But when we come down to the bare boned essentials, it still comes back to one other very basic fact: Knowledge alone, without it’s application, means for does nothing. We can know all about caloric and nutritional values of food. We can know all about basic metabolic rates or BMR, but until we make the decision to act on this, it’s only knowledge. Knowledge that does nothing.

Our brain (unless we have brain damage!) controls what we do and don’t do and it will do this at both the conscious level or the subconscious level.  Now the other fact for many of us is that we are easily distracted and so many factors in every day life are competing for our conscious attention. Earning a living, raising the kids, getting the car fixed, what favorite sport team is on lock out, and on and on. Be honest with yourself. How many minutes a day do you actually think and plan about your caloric intake and burn rates. Are we not for the most part acting on habits we’ve formed?  Maybe eating habits formed long ago as kids. Or maybe even obsolete knowledge such as the food tree of the 50s and that era? If this were a paid survey, I’d bet money that fewer than 10% of the people answering would say they are consciously concentrating on their weight equation.

The rest of us need help, and it’s in the category of subliminal weight loss help.  We need that silent control part of our brain to be on duty 24/7 and guiding us.  How do we impart it? A couple of general methods. Neither on their own are inherently reliable. You can think of the term of subliminal weight loss help as similar to hypnosis.  And hypnosis is not alone like you see in tv shows, Las Vegas acts. It can be done in a couple basic ways, and in fact, most ways of subliminal brain training use both.

One way is to use tools such as mp3s with subliminal messages contained within them. Of course the problems here are knowing consciously what the subliminal message is if you can’t physically hear it! First, how do you know if it’s there, and secondly, how do you know if it’s the right message?  But when you obtain materials like this from a reputable source, it is a wonderful tool for that much desired subliminal weight loss help.

The other tool does not necessarily come cheap, and that’s to use the services of a trained and qualified person, and these “persons” can come in the guise of a psychologist, a psychological physical therapist, some other specialist such as a hypnotist.  Whoever you turn to, you must first research their credentials. Then you should be able to get some numbers from them regarding not only their training and experience, but their success rates.  If you hire such a person, be sure and understand the extent of the program. How many sessions? Do you need to come back periodically for a recharge of the newly implanted subliminal weight loss message? And even if all the credentials you get from them check out, it never hurts to check with the local better business bureau to see if there are any complaints. Also, does your state require a person or business in this practice to be licensed? Does this “resource” have such a license?  Without making these checks you could lose more than weight and lose it quickly! You could lose money!

In conclusion, the MIND controls your weight loss or gain; at the conscious level the mind does not always work for us to help in the weight loss process and in fact, it’s more often than not our subconscious mind that actually is in control.
